I started taking these a few months before I wanted to get pregnant and I loved them. But I never understood why it had 7000 the recommended daily value of b12. I didn t think it was a big deal because b12 is water soluble and your body supposedly gets rid of whatever you don t need. That is until I read articles about how pregnant women with levels of both folate and b12 that are too high can increase likelihood of autism in babies. I went to my ob gyn and got my b12 levels checked to see where I was at after being on this vitamin for a few months. My B12 levels were high and above the threshold that was indicated in the study as problematic. So I switched to a vitamin that has folate and other forms of methylated B vitamins but lower levels of b12. I d love to learn why Thorne puts so much B12 in their vitamin - I m sure there s a reason. But unfortunately, it was too much for me.Read full 529 customer reviews for Thorne Research – Basic Prenatal – Folate Multivitamin for Pregnant and Lactating Women – 90 Capsules at Amazon Reviews
